About FLAG
FLAG (Friess Lake Action Group) is a parent run organization whose purpose is to promote and support the welfare of the students. Funds are used to support additional programs, equipment improvements and upgrades and scholarships for the school. Past projects include funding for the DARE program, Love and Logic parenting classes, a school defibrillator, playground equipment as well as requests from teachers to purchase extra items for the classroom.
As a parent of a child enrolled at Friess Lake School, you are automatically a member of F.L.A.G. (Friess Lake Action Group). We have monthly meetings to talk about all the happenings at school. For this year (2009-2010) the meetings will typically be held on the 1st Wednesday of each month at 6:30 pm and are (typically) in the FACE room (which is the room with all the stoves in it☺). Please check the first page of the Friess Lake Flyer for our scheduled meeting times and place. All are encouraged and welcome to attend!
We are always looking for fresh faces and ideas. We have tried to separate some of the committees into smaller ones, to lessen the responsibly on each person or persons. So if you are interested in helping out please let us know.
If you have any questions, comments or concerns for us please feel free to contact me at any time at w_perley@charter.net or 262-628-3495.
