2007 Winner - Jared Filo Friess Lake FLAG Scholarship
The Friess Lake Action Group has established a $500.00 scholarship for a graduating high school senior. This scholarship is to be awarded annually until further notice.
The applicant must have attended Friess Lake School. The applicant must have a GPA of a B or higher. The applicant must also have performed at least 30 hours of community service their senior year.
The scholarship will be awarded to a student who wishes to pursue his/her education at an accredited college, university, or technical/vocational school. The student must start their further education within six months of high school graduation.
The deadline for the application will be April 1st, 2010.
The officers from the Friess Lake Action Group will review all applications and other requested data. Based on this information the representatives will select a recipient and notify him/her no later than May 10, 2010. The scholarship check will be made payable jointly to the recipient's collage of choice and the scholarship recipient. Please note an officer cannot review an application from their own child graduating as a High School Senior in the current year. Another FLAG member will be appointed in their place for this situation.
Scholarship Information Requested:
1. Include at least one letter of recommendation, limit to three.
2. Attach transcript of high school scholastic record, including 1st semester report card.
3. Proof of community service hours.
4. A copy of the acceptance letter to the school you will be attending.
5. Completed scholarship application.
